Why take an IQ test
Taking an IQ test helps us to know about ourselves and our capabilities. It helps us to find out in which areas our brain excels and in what areas it is not as good.
If you want to know how well your brain performs when it’s put under pressure and how good it is at solving puzzles and patterns, take our IQ test now. Taking an IQ test enables us to test our brain’s ability in various ways.
Understanding your IQ score
Usually, tests are designed with different types of questions:
Patterns – In this, you have to find out patterns and select the appropriate answer by just looking at the previous patterns.
Math skills – In this, you will be given numerical puzzles, so you have to look at the numbers to find the correct answer.
Language – In this, you have to find out word meanings and use correct grammar.
Shapes – In this, you have to look at different shapes and select your answer considering the shape and size.
Benefits of an IQ test
Scoring less on an IQ test does not mean that you are less capable or intelligent; it’s just a way to find out in which area you are better than others. While there are people who score high because they are good at every question, there are many people who just score less because they are good with numbers but not so good with language.
Usually, people who are not good at studies are exceptional in the arts, so just enjoy yourself while completing this test. Do not judge yourself by the score you get after completing the test.
Good challenge – Consider this test as a challenge; if you score less, you can improve your skills by learning and practicing similar test scenarios, as practice and learning significantly improve the IQ test score, and you will notice your score going up after a few tries.
Curiosity – Thousands of people take an IQ test every day and enjoy testing their skills, so you should also complete the test and find your IQ score.
Have fun – Have fun with your friends and challenge your friends with this IQ test, and find out who scores more.
How to improve your score
Practice – Practice is one of the most effective ways in which you can improve your score, so going through the questions will help you manage them with more confidence.
Time management – Even though some people have good question-solving ability, sometimes they score less due to bad time management. They waste a lot of time on a single question and are left with less time for other questions, which pressurises them, and they are not able to finish all the questions in time, or they select wrong answers due to time pressure.
Instead of wasting time on one hard question, it’s a good strategy to skip that question and come back to it if we have time left after completing other questions.
Sleep – Having a good sleep increases our mental clarity and power, so sleep well before the test, which will reduce stress, and you will feel great while participating in the test.
Quiet place – While participating in the test, choose a quiet place where you are not disturbed, and you can focus on the questions.
Practice question types – Almost all IQ tests have similar questions, so you can prepare yourself according to those questions.
How scores are calculated
Usually, a 100 IQ score is considered average, and ranges are created according to this.
85 to 115 – The majority of people fall under this category, and they score around these numbers.
115 to 130 – People who score within these numbers are considered above average, as their problem-solving skills are better than those of the average person.
130+ – People falling under this category are exceptional as they outperform most people, as very few people have the ability to score this.
